Guidelines for workshops

You will be responsible for organizing a 4 to 8 hour program. GPD can offer you classroom like facilities in the local university. Outdoor or on-site activities can be planned according to our agreement.

The form of the workshop could be:

  • Practical
  • Theoretical
  • Hands on demonstration

The content should have:

  • A technical and/or design focus
  • Creativity and follow current trends in the glass industry
  • Technical research, testing, hypothetical results and final results

We kindly ask you to send us a workshop proposal in order for our organization committee to evaluate and select suitable workshops. A workshop proposal should be a summary of the content of your workshop and should consist of 150 to 200 words.

For marketing brochures, website and handouts, we need a short personal introduction of the workshop organizer. This brief biography should highlight your personal history in not more than 100 words.

Finally, you will be requested to send a timetable of your program, including breaks and other important details should your proposal be accepted. It should reflect the structure of your course in chronological order, to help the participants prepare and organize their day effectively.

Please remember that GPD is a non-commercial conference!
We will not be able to allow:

  • A presentation to be commercial
  • Titles, abstracts and presentations with trademarks or brand names

They should have a technical and design focus, presenting a product type and its use in a technical manner that is intriguing to industry experts.
